Indians has Renewed their Push for Legalized Fantasy Sport

Indiana State Representative, Terre Haute, attempt to pass two bills that could have been legalized: 1. Sports gambling 2. Online fantasy sports, that award cash prizes for contests that complies with the requisite criteria similar to the 2006 Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act ("UIGEA"). Neither of the bill gained traction in the last legislative session. Currently, perhaps it has been inspired by nationwide advertising of industry leaders DraftKings and FanDuel, State Representative Rep. Haute is Considering to renew his push for legalization of paid fantasy sports contests, so that Indiana could reap the benefits that are associated with the booming Gaming industry

How Does Indiana’s Efforts Compare?

I would seem that Indians is poised to join this booming activity of fantasy sports at state level all over the country. Just recently Massachusetts Attorney General announced that she would review the legality of fantasy sport industry and the Nevada gamin commission is also undertaking a similar review. California is moving towards regulating the industry, and there are whispers in Congress they there may be hearings on the subject of daily fantasy sport.
